Our AI Use Policy
At Wide Angle, we believe trust is built on transparency. That’s why we’re open about the tools we use, the choices we make, and the process behind every piece of creative we deliver.
Clients today are asking smarter, more specific questions—and they deserve clear answers. We don’t hide behind jargon, vague promises, or AI-generated fluff. We invite you in.
Whether we’re sharing pricing, showing our process, or explaining how AI fits into the work, we’re committed to making things easy to understand and even easier to trust.
Effective date: June 1, 2025
Applies to: All team members, contractors and collaborators
At Wide Angle, we believe great work starts with human insight and a clear process. AI is a tool we use thoughtfully, not a shortcut or a substitute for creativity and critical thinking. We use it to spark ideas, speed up processes, and enhance how we work — always in service of smarter, more effective outcomes for our clients.
Specifically, we may use AI to:
- Brainstorm creative concepts, content, or name options
- Summarize public info or conduct background + keyword research
- Draft early versions of emails, ads, SEO, or social content
- Explore content variations for testing or inspiration
- Simulate customer POV to test messaging persuasiveness
- Analyze audience motivations or buying behavior
- Review and suggest edits to draft content
- Transcribe interviews or meeting notes
- Support clients exploring AI in their workflows
How we don't use AI
To protect quality, integrity and client trust, we do not use AI to:
- Generate content for clients without disclosure
- Input or expose confidential or sensitive client data
- Replace full deliverables or final creative outputs
- Develop branding systems, logos, or core identity assets
- Write testimonials or client endorsements
- Use AI if a client asks us not to
Data privacy + legal compliance
We follow industry-recognized standards for responsible AI use, including the NIST AI Risk
- Management Framework, to ensure quality, security, and transparency.
- Never input personally identifiable information, financials, or confidential client content into unsecured AI tools
- Avoid referencing client names, brands, or internal processes unless working in a secure, approved enterprise platform
- When in doubt, anonymize or obfuscate sensitive data before using AI
- Follow all NDAs, industry regulations and internal security protocols
- Comply with all relevant privacy laws in our and the client’s jurisdiction
Human review, fact checking + transparency
All AI-generated outputs require human oversight before use. We commit to:
- Reviewing for tone, accuracy, style and alignment with brand + ethics
- Fact-checking all AI-generated data or quotations
- Labeling AI-assisted work clearly in shared files + creative briefs
Our policy will continue to evolve as AI capabilities grow. Our commitment to thoughtful, strategic, human-centered work will not.
